Hornet swimmers take home 4th at NTL meet

Five Wellsboro swimmers attended the NTL meet at Sayre High School on Thursday, February 9 and placed 4th overall for their team.
Bobby Hill placed first in the 200 yd. Freestyle and a close second (0.02 seconds) in the 100 yd. Freestyle; Alex Kurtz placed 5th in the 50 yd. Freestyle and 6th in the 100 yd. Backstroke; Meghan Bodine placed 12th in the 50 yd. Freestyle and 9th in the 100 yd. Freestyle; Emilie Kramer placed 3rd in the 100 yd. Butterfly and 5th in the 100 yd. Backstroke; and Brittany Redell placed 2nd in the 100 yd. Freestyle and 4th in the 100 yd. Backstroke.
With their performances in this event, Hill, Kurtz, Kramer, and Redell have qualified for the PIAA District 4 Meet at Bucknell University on Friday, February 24th. The team will be back in action on Saturday, February 18 for the Coaches Invitational located in Williamsport.
