Lady Hornets fall to Hughesville

The Wellsboro Lady Hornets fell in their season opener to Hughesville 40-38. The Hornets got behind early but battled back before falling to Hughesville by two.
Senior Guard Mackenzie Marple led the Lady Hornets with 18 points and 6 rebounds, while Freshman Jada Jackson recorded 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals. Senior Guard Kimberly Acorn added 6 steals in the game.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets start the season off 0-1, and will return to action Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.
