MS Lady Hornets crush Mansfield

The Wellsboro Middle School girls basketball team beat rival Mansfield 44-4 Thursday night in Mansfield.
Rachael Tuttle lead all scorers with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Sydney Tremper added 6 points, Kaeli Butters, Janessa Davis, Jessica Grab, Autum Kitajima, Lizzie Poirier, and Hope Wilkinson scored 4 points each, Alley Drew contributed 2 points and 3 rebounds, while Brianne Keane getting 2 steals, 3 assists, and 1 rebound.
"Autum and Jessica did a good job of running our offense tonight," said head coach Darrell Morris. "All the girls passed the ball well and showed patience to get good shots."
In the B game, the Lady Hornets won 19-10 to improve their record to 1-1 on the year.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 2-3 overall. The team will be back in action on Saturday, March 2 as they host North Penn.
