Hornet Volleyball downs CV, 3-0

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over Cowanesque Valley on Monday, September 21.
The Lady Hornets won 25-13, 25-17, and 25-8 to win the match. Senior Darci Warriner led the team with 11 kills, junior Morgan Florio had 11 assists, 7 digs, 11 points (2 aces), and 5 kills. Senior Maddy Kyle recorded 9 assists, 8 points (1 ace), and 7 digs, senior Mikayla Feil scored 10 points (3 aces), senior Hannah Wagaman made 7 digs, and juniors Olivia Kurtz and Kirsten Florio had 3 kills each.
The JV team won 2-0 (25-10, 25-8) to improve to 4-1 on the year.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 5-0 (2-0 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action today as they host Wyalusing.
