Wellsboro Gazette to hold Winter Athletic Awards Reception

The Wellsboro Gazette will hold Winter Athletic Awards Reception on Sunday, March 22, at Mansfield University, 4:00 p.m.
Selected athletes will be recognized in the fields of basketball, wrestling, cheerleading and swimming from Wellsboro, North Penn-Mansfield, North Penn-Liberty, Williamson, Cowanesque Valley and Galeton.
The selected athletes are recognized for overall stats, honorable stats, up and coming athletes, specialty all stars and spirit awards.
TOP OVERALL ALL-STARS OF THE SEASON
Submit nominations for athletes with "top" stats throughout the season. Leaders of the team to include sportsmanship, dedication and commitment to their sport.
HONORABLE MENTION ALL-STARS
Ssubmit nominations for athletes who also have significant contributions to the teams success.
SPECIALTY ALL-STARS
Submit nominations for athletes who might not have the stats to show their significant contributions on paper, but efforts on the field or court definitely have a strong impact to the team's success. Please include what those efforts might be for consideration of this award.
SPIRIT ALL-STAR
Cheerleading award only, commitment and dedication to competition, games, team, leadership and community.
UP AND COMING ALL-STARS
Submit nominations for underclassmen ONLY who have excelled and are athletes to keep an eye on for next season and have made significant contributions this season.
The reception will be a catered event for the coaches, athletic directors, principals, selected athletes and parents to attend.
