Hornet Summer Swimmers compete against Tri-Town

The Wellsboro Parks and Rec Summer Swim team kicked off the 2017 season in the pool against Tri-Town on Saturday, June 24.

In the 15-18 age category Tri-Town took both wins, 53-20 over the girls team while scoring 50 points in the boys meet. Wellsboro's 15-18 boys had no score.

For the girls, Olivia Kurtz won the 200 Freestyle in 2:31.57, Brenna White (33.74) and Brieanna Tuttle (43.87) were 2nd and 6th in the 50 Freestyle, Hope Rexford (1:39.91) won the 100 IM, and Kurtz was 2nd in the 100 Backstroke (1:17.75). White was 2nd in the 100 Freestyle (1:18.38) and 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:36.09), and Kurtz was 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (1:19.34).

Wellsboro will be back in the pool on Wednesday, June 28 at Williamsport.
