Hornets split with Williamsport

The Wellsboro Summer Swim team split with the Williamsport Waves on Wednesday, June 28.

The girls team scored 59 team points for the win, while the boys lost 24-7.

For the girls, Brenna White won the 200 Freestyle in 2:40.94, Olivia Kurtz (27.44), Abby Feil (32.25), and Brieanna Tuttle (37.63) swept the 50 Freestyle, Kaitlyne Kramer (2:54.25) won the 200 IM, White (1:19.75) and Feil (1:20.69) swept the 100 Backstroke, Kurtz (1:00.44) and Tuttle (1:29.94) swept the 100 Freestyle, White (1:23.00) and Kramer (1:27.58) swept the 100 Breaststroke, and Kurtz (1:09.75) won the 100 Butterfly.

The 200 Medley Relay team of Kramer, Feil, Kurtz, and Tuttle won in 2:28.75 and the 200 Freestyle Relay of Kramer, Tuttle, Feil, and White won in 2:11.44.

For the boys, Noah Smith was 3rd in the 50 Freestyle in 41.06, 3rd in the 100 Freestyle (1:52.69), and won the 100 Breaststroke in 1:10.06.

The team will be back in the pool against Lewisburg on Saturday, July 8 at Packer Park.
