Lewisburg sweeps Wellsboro

The Wellsboro Summer Swim Team was swept by Lewisburg during their home opener at Packer Park on Saturday, July 8.

The Wellsboro boys lost 48-16 while the girls were edged 43-38.

For the boys, Noah Smith was 3rd in the 50 Freestyle (43:71) and the 100 Freestyle (1:48.63), Connor Brought (2:17.13) was 2nd in the 200 IM, was 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (1:05.20), and won the 100 Backstroke in 1:04.63.

For the girls, Olivia Kurtz won the 200 Freestyle in 2:15.08, was 2nd in the 100 Backstroke (1:07.57), and won the 100 Butterfly (1:11.13), Cathryn Brought (25.82) won the 50 Freestyle with Abby Feil (31.19) in 3rd, Brenna White (2:56.52) was 2nd in the 200 IM, Kaitlyne Kramer (1:19.25) was 3rd in the 100 Backstroke, and Brought won the 100 Freestyle (56.54) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:13.90).

The 200 Medley Relay team of Feil, White, Kramer, and Brieanna Tuttle (2:20.32) were 3rd and the team of Kurtz, Kramer, White, and Brought were 2nd in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

The team will be back in action on Wednesday, July 12 at Lock Haven.
