Elm Park, Williamsport PA, 5/9/16 - Anne Weller throws perfect game.

It was a bright sunny day at Elm Park, as freshman Anne Weller took on Sullivan County in a Monday Mid-Penn matchup.

The start of the game was uneventful, as the Griffins top of the lineup went down in order. The Lady Knights put 4 runs on the board in the bottom of the first to take the lead. A 2-RBI triple by Anne Weller to deep left brought in Marcie Fischetti and Shayna McNamee for the first 2 runs. Anne scored on a wild pitch, and Sarah Harbach drove in Amanda Lisi for the final run of the inning. End 1st - SJN - 4, SC - 0.

Anne struck out two batters in the top of the second en route to another 1-2-3 inning.  Marcie Fischetti scored again on a wild pitch in the bottom of the second. End 2nd - SJN 5, SC - 0.

Sullivan County went quickly in the top of the third on 3 straight outs. Neumann threatened in the bottom of the third, but Morgan Kriner and Bianca Lilley were left stranded on base. End 3rd - SJN 5, SC - 0.

Anne made quick work of the top of the lineup in the 4th inning, as she put away the Sullivan hitters on 4 pitches. The Lady Knights plated two more runs in the bottom of the frame, as Weller scored on a wild pitch, and Shelly Floyd knocked in Amanda Lisi on a hard hit ball to third base. End 4th - SJN 7, SC -0.

Weller mowed through the middle of the Griffins order in the 5th, taking just 5 pitches to finish them off.  The Lady Knights bats were hot in the bottom of the inning.  Morgan Kriner lined a single to center to get the offense started. Bianca Lilley and Megan Helminiak walked to load the bases. Makenzie Cannon stroked a line drive to center to bring in Kriner and pinch-runner Cheyenne Danneker. Shayna McNamee ended the game, as her hit brought in Helminiak for the 10th run and the walk-off mercy-rule win. End 5th - SJN 10, SC -0.
