Selinsgrove holds off Central Mountain rally

SELINSGROVE - Avery DeFazio scored eight of her nine points in the second quarter as Selinsgrove opened up a 17-point halftime lead on Central Mountain, and held on for 29-25 victory over the Wildcats.
Selinsgrove's defense limited Central Mountain to just one first-half field goal as the Seals built a 22-5 lead at the halftime.
The Seals ran into the same problem in the second half, getting two second-half buckets from Cierra Adams to account for Selinsgrove's only field goals of the half. Adams also finished with nine points for the Seals.
