Selinsgrove wins Ettinger debut

SELINSGROVE — Cierra Adams, Murphy O'Brien and Haylee Nava each outscored the Griffins on their own as the Seals picked up a dominant, 61-9 win in coach Aaron Ettinger's first game in the semifinal of the Angela Wolfe-Royal Tournament.
Adams scored 10 of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter as Selinsgrove (1-0) grabbed a 20-6 lead after eight minutes.
Nava scored all 11 of her points in the first half, and O'Brien scored eight of her 11 points in the fourth quarter.
Sullivan County (0-1), which was led by Kassidy Beinlich's seven points, was held to three points total over the final three quarters, including a scoreless fourth quarter.
