Athens places second at Molly Dry Invitational.

The Athens girls' track and field team tied for second with Milton at the Molly Dry Invitational with 61 points behind winners Mifflinburg (64.3).
Northeast Bradford was fifth with 52.3, Waverly sixth with 47, Towanda 13th with 27, Wellsboro 15th with 24.3, Canton 17th with 19, Williamson was 18th with 17, North Penn-Mansfield and Sayre were tied for 20th with five, Troy was 22nd with four while Wyalusing was 23rd with 3.3 points.
On the boys' side Jersey Shore won with 111 points followed by Milton (100) and Mifflinburg (77).
Athens (40) was the top local team in seventh followed by Canton (37) in eighth, Wyalusing (23) in 12th, Waverly (15) in 13th, NEB (14) in 14th, Wellsboro (9) and NP-Mansfield (9) tied for 17th, Troy (8) in 19th and Williamson (7) and Towanda (7) tied for 20th.
Canton's Randi Jennings out kicked Jersey Shore's Sidney Trunzo to win the girls' 1600 by .02 seconds. Jennings ran 5:28.55 while Trunzo ran 5:28.57.
Williamson's Ryan Hughes (5:40.82) was fourth while Sayre's Sydney Beeman (5:47.95) took eighth.
Northeast Bradford's Lydia Werner won the 100 hurdles in 15.58 while Tioga's Malley Bowen (16.55) was third. Sayre's Allison Hickey (17.47) was fifth, Athens' Ariana Gambrell (17.55) took sixth, Waverly's Kayla Kromelbein (17.58) was seventh and Wellsboro's Haley Zuchowski (17.71) took eighth.
Werner was second in the 300 hurdles in 47.39 while Hughesville's Heather Merrifield won in 46.15. Bowen was fifth in 49.90.
Towanda's Jessica Tice won the shot put in 34-feet, 2-inches while Athens' Katherine Shenot (31-feet, 8-inches) was sixth. Williamson's Andrea Sheive was eighth at 29-feet, 11 1/2-inches.
In a tight 100 meter finish Central Columbia's Hannah Klingerman edged out Athens Breana Gambrell for first 12.82 to 12.83.
Waverly's Kate Oteng-Bediako (13.23) was fifth and Wellsboro's Jada Jackson (13.44) took sixth.
Breana Gambrell won the long jump in 18-feet even while Oteng-Bediako was second in 16-feet, 3 1/2-inches. Werner was fifth in 16-feet, 2-inches.
Jackson won the triple jump in 35-feet, 4 3/4-inches while Wyalusing's Madelyn Edsell (32-feet, 7 3/4-inches) was eighth.
Mifflinburg's Brian Zimmerman won the boys' 100 in 11.13 followed by Athens' Kalen Keathley (11.43). Canton's Noah Barnett (11.70) was third with teammate Brandon Fleming (11.91) seventh and Wyalusing's Derek Frederick (12.10) eighth.
Zimmerman won the 200 in 22.29 while Waverly's Jacob Goble (23.53) was second. He was followed by Barnett (23.60) and Keathley (23.78) was fifth.
NEB's Sam Beers was second in the 300 hurdles in 42.86 behind Milton's Josh Guthrie (41.54).
Canton's Michael Bacon (44.52) was seventh and NP-Mansfield's Sean Giles (44.85) was eighth.
Towanda's Sarah Dawsey was second in the girls' javelin at 115-feet, 9-inches behind Coudersport's Adrian Paige, who won at 118-feet, 7-inches.
In the girls' 800 Athens' Shanell Baglini was second in 2:28.32 as Hughesville's Autumn Avery won in 2:24.44.
Waverly's Elle Nittinger was fifth in 2:32.77, followed by teammate Breanna Featherson (2:34.54), Williamson's Ryan Hughes (2:34.98) and Towanda's Ally Tama (2:35.52).
In the girls' 400 Selinsgrove's Megan Hoffman won in 59.81 while Athens' Rachel Hutchison was second in 1:01.52. North Penn-Mansfield's Chelsea Repard was sixth in 1:04.38.
In the boys' 800 Milton's Tyler Leeser won in 1:59.59 while Towanda's Griffen Sites was fourth in 2:06.39.
In the girls' 3200 Mifflinburg's Audrey McPherson won in 11:48.78 while Canton's Randi Jennings was third in 11:53.61. NEB's Karli Moyer was fourth in 12:08.99, Athens' Emily Madigan (12:32.52) was sixth and Williamson's Ryan Hughes (12:39.90) took eighth.
NEB's Lydia Werner was second in the high jump at 4-feet, 8-inches behind Montgomery's Lexy Forrestal (5-feet, 2-inches). Werner tied Wellsboro's Raisa Rogers, who was also at 4-feet, 8-inches.
Wyalusing's Madelyn Edsell tied for eighth at 4-feet, 6-inches.
In the boys' 3200 Jersey Shore's Isaac Davis won in 9:47.70 while Troy's Keegan Beard was the top local finisher in fifth at 10:10.84. NEB's Casey Ellis was eighth at 10:29.59.
In the girls' 4x400 relay Waverly's team of Melina Ortiz, Breanna Featherson, Kate Oteng-Bediako and Elle Nittinger took second in 4:22.66. Midd-West won in 4:17.15.
Athens' team of Alectra Cannavino, Cassandra Mcdonald, Rachel Hutchison and Shanell Baglini was sixth in 5:28.63 while Towanda's foursome of Genesis Vazquez, Ally Tama, Elaina Johnson and Lauren Risch was eighth in 4:31.36.
In the girls' 4x800 relay Mifflinburg won in 10:04.12 with Canton's foursome of Rachel Sparling, Alana Castle, Emalie Landis and Alexa Landis the top local team, taking sixth in 10:59.46.
Mifflinburg won the boys' 4x800 relay title as well in 8:27.94.
Troy was the top local team in 9:12.93 with a foursome of Keegan Beard, Trevor Ward, Kale Weidner and Jake Culkin.
Athens was sixth in 9:23.41 with a team of Camden Allen, Nate Aquilio, Ethan Lane and Kevin Singhel and Wellsboro was seventh in 9:27.29 with a team of Aidan Perry, Brett Rudy, Gabe Leach and Isaac Leach.
NEB's Karli Moyer won the steeplechase in 8:13.20 followed by teammate Krista Hallett (8:48.85) with Waverly's Brandi Welch (9:00.89) third and Sheridan Talada (9:14.15) fourth.
Williamson's Paige Swartz (9:27.38) was fifth while Troy's Courtney Case (9:27.75) took sixth.
Elk Lake's Seth Owens won the 2000 meter steeplechase in 7:06.92. Perry was fifth for Wellsboro in 7:44.10 followed by teammate Isaac Leach (7:44.11) with Williamson's Evan Miller (7:47.19) and Wyalusing's Luke Auer (7:57.14) seventh and eighth.
Milton's Josh Guthrie won the 110 hurdles in 15.90 with Athens' Matt Bryan (16.93) fourth, Canton's Michael Bacon (16.96) fifth and Wyalusing's Mitchell Schools (18.37) eighth.
The Milton boys won the 4x100 relay in 45.0 while Wyalusing's foursome of Tracey Brown, Collin Edsell, Lucas Jennings and Frederick took second in 45.12.
Athens' team of Brandon Hunsinger, Payton Lewis, Austin Lister and Keathley was third in 45.77, Waverly's team of Josh Mastrantuono, Dawson Morey, Jacob Goble and Shane Carpenter was fourth in 45.85 while North Penn-Mansfield's team of Cooper Baumgartner, Sean Giles, Lathan Dunn and Garrett Bickhart was eighth in 47.66.
Selinsgrove won the girls' 4x100 relay in 50.66 while Athens' team of Alectra Cannavino, Ariana Gambrell, Shanell Baglini and Breana Gambrell was third in 51.60.
Wellsboro's foursome of Dahlia Hosey, Raisa Rogers, Lindsey Graver and Jackson was fifth in 52.30 while Waverly's team of Melina Ortiz, Breana Featherson, Sarah Uhl and Oteng-Bediako was sixth in 52.47.
Coudersport's Michael Kane won the boys' long jump in 20-feet, 9 1/2-inches while Wyalusing's Collin Edsell was the top local finisher in 19-feet even.
Canton's Malachi Washington (18-feet, 9-inches) was seventh while North Penn-Mansfield's Mason Gee (18-feet, 8-inches) was eighth.
Selinsgrove's Brennan Wolf won the discus in 156-feet, 7-inches while NEB's Alec Morris was seventh in 116-feet, 2-inches. Waverly's Dawson Morey was eighth in 114-feet, 11-inches.
Jersey Shore's Kevin Titus won the boys' high jump at 6-feet while Lucas Jennings was third at that height.
In the girls' pole vault South Williamsport's Katie Jones won in 12-feet, 6-inches while Towanda's Ally Tama was fourth in 10-feet even. Bowen took sixth in 9-feet while Williamson's Sierra Gehringer was eighth in 8-feet, 6-inches.
South Williamsport's Otis Anderson won the triple jump in 42-feet, 4 1/2-inches while Canton's Malachi Washington was fourth in 40-feet, 8-inches. Towanda's Griffen Sites was seventh in 40-feet, 5 1/4-inches while Wyalusing's Lucas Jennings was eighth in 40-feet, 3/4-inch.
Coudersport's Adrian Page won the discus in 109-feet, 10-inches while Athens' Suzanna Searles was fifth in 93-feet, 1-inch. Williamson's Sierra Gehringer was sixth in 88-feet, 9-inches. Towanda's Jessica Tice was seventh in 87-feet, 5-inches while Troy's Breana Millard was eighth in 87-feet even.
Elk Lake's Hunter Watkins won the boys' javelin with a throw of 190-feet, 10-inches.
Athens' Matt Bryan (168-feet, 10-inches) was fourth while teammate Joe Moyer (167-feet) took fifth. NEB's Alec Morris was seventh (153-feet) while Wyalusing's Derek Frederick was eighth in 151-feet, 4-inches.
In the girls' 200 Selinsgrove's Megan Hoffman won in 26.49 while Athens' Rachel Hutchison was fourth in 27.93. Waverly's Melina Ortiz was fifth in 28.02 while NP-Mansfield's Chelsea Repard was seventh in 28.43.
In the boys' pole vault Central Columbia's Ben Miller won at 12-feet, 6-inches. Williamson's Joey Brown was fourth at 11-feet.
Selinsgrove's Jack Gaugler won the boys' shot put in 51-feet, 3 3/4-inches. Athens' Joe Moyer was seventh in 40-feet, 7 1/2-inches while NEB's Alec Morris was eighth in 39-feet, 6 3/4-inches.
In the boys' 4x400 relay Mifflinburg won in 3:35.40 while North Penn-Mansfield took seventh in 3:46.68 with a team of Cameron Alexander, Brock Burleigh, Mason Gee and Riley Walker. Waverly was eighth in 3:48.11 behind Josh Mastrantuono, Shane Carpenter, Dawson Morey and Jacob Gobble.
South Williamsport's Hunter Crawley won the boys' 1600 in 4:30.71.
