Sullivan County downs Southern Columbia.

Lucas Shultz had two goals and an assist to lead Sullivan County past Southern Columbia 3-1 in boys' soccer action Monday.

After a scoreless first half, Shultz scored off a Colton Ammerman assist halfway through the second half to go up 1-0.

Southern Columbia tied it up with 15:44 left as Elijah Hoffman scored off an Aden Trathen goal.

Shultz shot back with a goal off a free kick 30 seconds later.

Then with 7:20 left to play, Brian Lewis put Sullivan up for good off a Shultz helper.

Sullivan out shot Southern 14-5, but the Tigers had a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

Donald Miley and Lucas Molyneux each had two saves.

Sullivan hosts Benton today.

Notre Dame 6, Newark Valley 0

Gavin Harrington and Mitchell Vargas each had two goals and an assist to lead the Crusaders.

Dan Stearns had a goal and an assist, Patrick Finnerty had a goal and Connor Simpson added an assist.

Caleb Colucci made two saves in goal.

Wellsboro 12, Coudersport 0

Brett Rudy and Tanner Runyan each had a hat trick as the Hornets picked up another win Monday.

Johnny Rowland and Kaeden Mann each scored twice while Noah Fitch and Holden Kennedy also scored.

Gabe Leach had three assists, Rudy had two while Runyan had one helper.

"The starters played a great first half," said Wellsboro coach John Shaffer. "I was very pleased with their pressing and passing. In the second half, the second string got a lot of great experience."

Shaffer was also impressed by Coudersport goalie Rozalyn Page.

"As a freshman in net for a boys' team she played outstanding," he said. "She has a bright future."
