Wyalusing tops Troy.

The Wyalusing Rams defeated Troy, 3-1, in local volleyball action on Tuesday.

They won the first game 25-15, lost the second 25-23, then won the next two games 25-13 and 25-16.

For Troy, Cassie Shedden had eight points, 14 assists, six kills, two blocks, and seven digs; Caitlin Delosa finished with six points, two aces, four kills and 11 digs; Emilie Cole had five points, one ace, six kills, two blocks and 11 digs; Gabby Bohner had three points and one ace; and Breana Millard compiled two points, one ace and three kills.

The Troy JV team defeated Wyalusing 2-0 (25-16, 25-10).

For Troy, Morgan Millard finished with eight points and three aces; Annie Rosanelli had six points and one ace; and Shyanna Yaggie had six points and one ace.

For Wyalusing, Karlye Huffman had three kills and 34 assists; Daphne Fasset finished with four aces; Kristie Epler totaled 17 digs; Melody Kneller had 21 kills and four aces; Makayla Voda finished with five kills and three blocks; Lylah Oswald finished with 15 kills and three aces; Madison Hebda had one ace; and Emily Lewis had four kills and four assists.

Troy won the JV match, 25-16, 25-10.

Williamson 3, Sayre 0

25-9, 25-19, 25-21

For Sayre, Alia Post had four points, seven kills, and 12 digs; Lexi Post finished with 14 assists and five digs; Camry Brown added two kills, one block and two digs; Julia Boyle had one kill and two digs; Miranda Tappen finished with five kills and one assist; Claire Shaffer added seven points and three digs; Kayla Kittle had one kill and one block; Hannah Heveland finished with two digs and Braxton Swackhammer had five points.

Canton 3, NEB 2

21-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 15-11

The Canton varsity volleyball team defeated Northeast Bradford, 3-2, on Tuesday night.

For Canton, Hailey Wesneski had 14 points, six kills, and seven digs; Esther Martin added 14 points, four aces, eight kills, and 12 digs; Emily Ferguson had 12 points, five aces, seven kills and 10 digs; Caitlyn Pepper finished with 11 points, four aces, and 29 assists; Ellie Binford had five points and three aces; Jill Shay added six points and three aces; and Sam Proseus had six kills and five digs.

For NEB, McKenzie Haight had three aces, two kills and one block; Lindsay Moore finished with three aces, five assists and two blocks; Chloe Baker had two aces and four digs; McKenna Hurley had one ace, two kills and 12 blocks; Marissa Brink totaled nine points, one kill and four blocks; Jordan Shumway had one ace, and one block; and Maddy Bolinger had two digs.

NEB won the JV match, 2-0 (25-20, 25-19).

Wellsboro 3, Athens 0

25-13, 25-17, 25-13

The Wellsboro Green Hornets defeated Athens, 3-0, in volleyball action on Tuesday night.
